Jeremy Stafford qualified with a B. Soc. Sc. from University of Cape Town in 1988 and furthered his studies with a Honours degree in Industrial Psychology from UNISA in 1992. He also holds a Certificate in Project Management.
He worked many years in Human Resource Management in the government (SAPS), private and NGO sectors. He gained extensive experience in Recruitment and Selection and psychometric testing during these years.
It was during this period that he identified a shortfall in pre-employment screening and psychometrics ... that are now filled by Voice Stress testing.
Traditional employment screening - by criminal records checks, reference checking etc - only identify those who have been convicted and have a record on file. What about those who are a risk but have not been through the system?
He also ran his own Volunteer placement organisation. His company won numerous local and international awards for "Responsible Tourism", and was a pioneer in this field in South Africa. Here he was responsible for the recruitment of international volunteers who worked in community-based projects with orphans and vulnerable children. Here too he realised that there are shortfalls with traditional screening methods. Hence his interest in pre-employment screening for au pairs / care-givers / domestic workers.
He now provides truth verification services in his personal capacity as a free-lance consultant to the corporate world and private individuals as required.
